The July issue

You may know it already: Joomla will celebrate its 20th birthday next month, on August 17 to be precise. Twenty years of working together to make every new version the best Joomla ever, twenty years of enabling people to learn, contribute and rise up above themselves, twenty years of community, friendship and freedom. That calls for a celebration. But actually, the Joomla Community Magazine is doing that every month. With each new issue, with each article, we spread the Joomla love, share our knowledge, and encourage people to join us. We have how-to’s and tutorials as well as stories and news from our community and interesting reads about what’s happening around us. I hope you enjoy this month’s issue, and don’t forget: Joomla is worth celebrating every day!

Together we grow Joomla: Podcasting – Simple Tools, Big Impact

Podcasting is a powerful way to connect with others, build a community, and let your voice be heard. So a podcast about all the good things Joomla can bring could be a great idea to make get the word out. But too often, people hold back – thinking they need fancy equipment, expensive software, or a perfect studio to get started. The truth is: you don’t.

How to make your clients think Joomla?

Spending the last 3 days at VivaTech 2025 with AI at almost every booth and in most conversations, one could forget there is anything else today. With thousands of AI tools showcased – from oncology to climate solutions – it’s easy to assume traditional systems like CMSes are unnecessary or possibly even obsolete. Yet this assumption misses a critical point: AI and CMSes like Joomla (celebrating its 20th year in 2025) serve complementary roles, and the latter remains indispensable!

The June issue

Putting together the Joomla Community is a very satisfying job. Each and every month, my Co-Editor Claudia and I get to see a huge variety of articles, written by you, members of the Joomla Community. So it is with great pride and joy that we present to you the June issue of the Joomla Community Magazine!

This month, you can read how you can help shape Joomla’s future or make valuable contributions now, find out which new features are coming (SEO out of the box as well as a tool to migrate your WordPress site to Joomla), why you shouldn’t rely on automated tools alone to fix the accessibility of your website, and how to create page transitions for your website, with CSS.

Are you coordinating a Joomla User Group? Heads up: there’s a global meeting coming, don’t miss out on that! And if you consider yourself a (wannabe) Joombassador, read The Pink Elephant Paradox and check how you can be contribute to Joomla’s 20th Birthday Party!
